The culture of Jiu Jitsu Academy is a premier destination for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and MMA training, located at 220 Girard Street, Suite H, Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877. Founded and co-owned by IBJJF World Champion and UFC fighter Max Gimenis alongside black belt Eric Philcox, we champion a jiu-jitsu culture that offers high-level training for kids, adults, women, and competitors, all within a supportive and professional environment.
Our Programs
Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (ages 3–12: Baby Roots 3–4, Little Roots 4–7 & Big Roots 8–12) introduces young practitioners to the rich culture of jiu-jitsu, while our Adult Gi & No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes (teens & adults) immerse students in the traditions and techniques that define the jiu-jitsu culture. We also offer Women’s Only Classes (adult women), fostering an inclusive environment that embraces the positive aspects of the jiu-jitsu culture. Additionally, our Muay Thai classes (teens & adults) complement the experience, enriching the overall journey through the vibrant culture of jiu jitsu.
