Why Boyds Residents Train With Us
Boyds is one of the quieter corners of Montgomery County, with its historic MARC train stop and easy access to Black Hill Regional Park and Little Seneca Lake. It's a great place to live, but a serious martial arts gym takes a short drive. Boyds is a small, historic community in upcounty Montgomery County, Maryland.
That drive is simple. Culture of Jiu Jitsu Academy is about 21 minutes away, and nearly all of it is on Clopper Road (MD-117). Every class is guided by Max Gimenis, an IBJJF World Champion and UFC fighter, and co-owner Eric Philcox, a black belt under Max.
No experience is needed to start. We teach kids ages 3 to 12, adults, and women who want a dedicated class, and your first 7 days are free.
